"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." - Jesus
Matthew 25:35-36, 40

Stones River Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church, and we are a very missions-minded body of believers! We give to missions work through the Cooperative Program, and by supporting the Annie Armstrong Easter offering (North American Missions), Golden State Missions offering (State Missions), and Lottie Moon offering (International Missions). Listed below are our various missions programs, and we invite people of all ages to join us in our mission to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to show His love for others.

WMU - WOMEN ON MISSION
Our WMU group meets on our Wednesday church supper night each month (with the exception of our quarterly business meetings).

BROTHERHOOD - MEN ON MISSION
Our Men on Mission group meets on our Wednesday church supper night each month (with the exception of our quarterly business meetings). They are involved in our Wherry Housing ministry, on the fourth Saturday of each month. They work to repair structures for people to make a home in.

COUPLES ON MISSION - YOUNG ADULTS
Our Couples on Mission group meets on our Wednesday church supper night each month (with the exception of our quarterly business meetings). They sponsor our Food Pantry and Clothes Closet, which is open on the 3rd Saturday of each month. While this effort to help those in need in our community is sponsored by our Young Adults, they welcome couples and singles of all ages to join in and help!

YOUTH ON MISSION - TEENS
The study of missions and various missionaries is incorporated into our Youth Bible studies and activities! We meet for Bible study every Sunday evening at 5:00 PM in the Youth room.

RA's - ROYAL AMBASSADORS (BOYS)
GA's - GIRLS IN ACTION (GIRLS)
Our RA's and GA's for children grades 1 - 6 meet each Wednesday evening. They learn about missionaries and their work all around the world, and how they can help in mission work here at home.

MISSION FRIENDS
PRESCHOOL CHILDREN - KINDERGARTEN
Our Mission Friends program for younger children meets each Wednesday night.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY - ALL AGES
Our Prayer Shawl Ministry group meets every Tuesday at 10:00 AM, in the church Conference Room. If you feel a need to reach out to someone who needs a prayer and a hug - to the sick in the hospital, a caregiver - a homebound person, or a sick baby, please bring your yarn, knitting and crochet needles, and join our group! We make prayer shawls, prayer quilts, and baby blankets, praying for each recepient as we work. All ages are welcome! We will teach you, and you can do your work at home. We have already delivered 55 items - some of them out of the country. Please join us - it has certainly helped my prayer life, and I believe it will help yours, too!
Knitting in Love,
Margaret

NASHVILLE RESCUE MISSION - ALL AGES
On the third Tuesday of every month, we hold services at the Nashville Rescue mission, providing God's Word and music for those residing at the mission. We also work to serve meals, and give out Bibles. We donate toys, etc., to the fast growing number of women and children at the Women's Shelter.

JAIL MINISTRY
Every Wednesday, we hold services at the Rutherford County Jail. We also provide personal visits to any inmate who requests them.

TN STATE WOMEN'S PRISON MINISTRY
We visit the women's prison on the 2nd Sunday of each month. We present a service and music for the women, and we donate personal hygiene products, writing materials, stamps, etc., to them. We are always open to donations toward purchasing these items. Please keep this ministry in your prayers. We really need help in every aspect of this project!

We are also willing to meet one on one with those women who are in need of our help.
